Praslin is the second largest granite island in the Seychelles archipelago. It consists of several ranges of hills the highest summit of which reaches 367m above sea level. Anse Lazio is the prettiest beach on Praslin and one of the most delightful anywhere in the Seychelles. During the north-west monsoon high, crystalclear waves break on its undulating shoreline and over the smooth-worn red granite boulders scattered like great marbles in the sea. In recent years Anse Lazio has become much better known and many more people now frequent this once rather secluded spot.
