Thongtakian beach is located on Koh Samui island, between two famous beaches – Chaweng and Lamai beach. Koh Samui is considered being the paradise on earth for Thais and international visitors. It has unspoiled scenery, it is safe and it has friendly people. Thongtakian beach is one of the most wonderful beaches on this island. It is situated in a small bay with the beautiful white sand. The water is very picturesque, because it is different in every part of the day, depends on the sun and the clouds. In the beginning is shallow and it gets slowly deeper, so it is convenient for small children and for the one who just like to enjoy. The left side is more convenient for swimming. You don't have to swim far to the sea, because there are very near some nice spots for snorkeling and watching the interesting underwater world, full of colourful fishes. This area is very peacefull, without any water sports like on the other more crowded beaches. You will have natural shadow from the trees, especially in the afternoon. In this location you will rarely meet any annoying sellers. In every side of the bay are interesting rocks, which are the good scene for taking photographs. The beach is not very crowded, here comes just few daily guests. There are only few resorts and the best one is Promtsuk Buri Resort. They are the new brand resort, with beautiful green surroundings, marvellous view to the beach, so you can spend here days and days just drinking beer, coctails, reading books, looking fishes in the sea, eating good food and just relax. There is no night life, but there are peaceful and romantic restaurants from the resorts, just beside the beach. If you want to go to the Lamai or to Chaweng, there is no problem, because taxis are waiting just in front of your resort.
