In the Immigration Museum we will discover the dreams and achievements of those who have settled in Victoria from the 1800s to the present day. The museum is open from 10.00am to 5.00pm daily. It is closed on Good Friday and Christmas Day. The Immigration Museum has ground floor, first floor and second floor. The ground floor includes the Immigration Discovery Centre, an exhibition in the corridor and atrium, the Museum Store and the information desk, where you can purchase Museum tickets. Entry to the ground floor is free. The first floor includes the Museum's permanent exhibitions, which explore Victoria's multicultural history and the immigration experience, as well as the Community Gallery, displaying a number of changing exhibitions. Explore stories of love and loneliness, hope and trepidation, sucess and survival. Throughout the building, the history of Old Customs House and its customs service is presented. The second floor galeries host a vibrant changing exhibition program, focusing on immigration, cultural diversity and world cultures. This includes the Station pier: gateway to a new life exhibition which explores the significance of sea migration to Victoria.
