Tea factory is one of the things that you need to visit on Mahe. Tea factory is located only 4 km from Port Glaud and it is part of the Morne Seychellois National Park. The Sans Soucis road from Port Glaud through the mountains to Victoria is one of the most scenic drives on Mahe. Tea production began in 1966 and tea bushes are visible along the main road. The tea factory is open from 10.00 to 16.00 on weekdays. It is possible to buy some of the delicious, fragrant SeyTe (Seychelles tea) that is produced in five different flavours – orange, mint, lemon, vanilla and cinnamon. In the nearness is Capucin Mission Ruins, Val Riche, Forestry Station, residental area Bel Air and other. Capuchin Mission Ruins are a remider of the slave trade as a school was built here by members of the London Missionary Society. In Val Riche is a start of the scenic walk.
